Circular Connectors: Eaton Water Resistant Connectors

Our circular connector lines consist of Mil-Spec, Boeing approved (BACC), Airbus approved (EN), Hermetic connectors, Filter connectors, and Eaton’s industrial Trim Trio line.

Mil-Spec connector offerings are MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II & III, MIL-DTL-26482 Series I & II, MIL-DTL-83723, MIL-DTL-26500, and MIL-DTL-5015. Boeing-approved connectors consist of BACC45 and BACC63. Airbus-approved connectors include EN3645 and EN3646. Industrial Trim Trio connector offerings include the UTS, UTG, UTO, MBG, and UTV series. Commercial equivalents are available for MIL-DTL-38999 Series I, II & III, MIL-DTL-26482 Series I & II, MIL-DTL-83723, MIL-DTL-26500, MIL-DTL-5015, Eaton 851, 8525, and 8526.

Eaton Trim Trio Connectors

The Trim Trio connectors line is based on a unique feature of contacts which can be used in several connector shapes. This trio of contacts (machined, stamped & formed, high speed) can be used in a wide range of connectors from plastic to metal shells, from bayonet to push-pull coupling mechanisms, from rectangular to circular connector shells.

All connectors in the Trim Trio series use the same design of contact. This unique feature simplifies your supply chain, reduces the complexity of production and gives you the ability to switch from a connector series to another very easily.

Using the same contact technology and based on the same design with a 1/3 bayonet coupling, the UTS series (full plastic, waterproof IP68 connector), the UTG series (metal/plastic connector for heavy use), and UTO series (metal IP68 connector for intensive use) are interchangeable and intermeatable giving you the flexibility to switch from a series to another to address new customer needs without an important impact on your equipment and or your production lines.

Trim Trio includes also the UTL series (UL / IEC Power + control), a plastic push-pull connector designed to comply with all modern safety standards of industrial markets, as well as rectangular snap-lock SMS quick mating and cable connector.

This series was developed in 2018 to fulfill the customers’ demand for increasingly popular underwater applications. Most commonly, Eaton’s SWIM series can be found in unmanned surface vehicles and floats in the marine industry.

The connectors feature a thermoplastic design which allows them to avoid any corrosion and cathodic delamination. The coupling interface consists of two O-rings and shell-to-shell sealing to help with consistent weather tightness in the low-pressure environment.

SWIM series connectors can be easily mated and unmated even with the high contact density because of the effective coupling ring.

These robust and blind-mated connectors are also available in overmolded cable termination form.
